Commodity Classic has been alerted that unauthorized companies have been contacting attendees and exhibitors. These companies are not authorized to represent Commodity Classic, nor do they have access to officially contracted hotels or rates on behalf of the show. For your own protection, please do not make reservations through any hotel provider or travel company other than Maritz Global.

About Orlando:

Located in central Florida, Orlando is one of the world’s most visited family destinations. While the area welcomes tens-of-millions of visitors to its theme parks each year, Orlando also offers a wide range of family-friendly attractions such as waterparks, giant aquariums and zoos, tours and golf. Great beaches are within driving distance and the well-kept city center is a great place for shopping and strolling in Orlando’s welcoming climate.

 

Florida Agriculture:

With 9.7 million acres of farm and ranch land and a climate that’s ideal for growing a wide variety of produce and raising livestock, Florida produces more than 300 commodities. Among Florida's top agricultural products are oranges, greenhouse and nursery products, cane for sugar, and cattle and calves. The state ranks second in the nation for vegetable production, only behind California, and is responsible for 45% of the nation’s total citrus production.

 

Air Transportation:

Orlando offers two airports within 50 miles of Commodity Classic hotels and is serviced by several carriers with daily nonstop and connecting flights from your home airport.

 

  • Orlando International Airport (MCO): Approximately 18 minutes (13 miles)
  • Sanford International Airport (SFB): Approximately 50 minutes (42 miles)

Campgrounds:

Bringing your camper or recreational vehicle to Orlando for Commodity Classic? There are several campgrounds and RV parks within driving distance of the Orange County Convention Center.

Ground Transportation

 

Taxi: 

Estimated one-way taxi cab fares to Commodity Classic hotels from the following locations:

 

  • Orlando International Airport: $14-24
  • Sanford International Airport: $52-65

Rideshare:

Orlando offers rideshare services from Uber, Lyft and Wingz. Passengers can make a request once they are on the terminal curb. Always confirm that you are getting in the correct vehicle with the designated driver displayed in your mobile app.

 

  • Orlando International Airport: Meet drivers on Level 2 Arrivals for Terminals A & B (or on Level 3 between 9:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m.) or Level 6 for Terminal C.
  • Sanford International Airport: Meet drivers on Lower Level near baggage claim.

An airport fee applies to both a drop off and to a pick up trip. Look for signs designating “Rideshare Pick Up” areas to facilitate meeting points.

 

Rental Car: 

As the largest rental car market in the world, there are several companies to choose from when renting a car in Orlando:

 

  • Orlando International Airport: on-airport rental car companies are located in Terminal A and Terminal B, Level 1 (Ground Transportation).
  • Sanford International Airport: located on Lower Level near ground transportation.

 

Getting Around Town

 

Hotel Shuttles:

Commodity Classic will run complimentary hotel shuttle transportation between the Convention Center and most Commodity Classic hotels. Hotel shuttles sponsored by NACHURS.

 

Convention Center Parking:

For attendees who plan on driving, the Orange County Convention Center operates on-site vehicle parking. Parking rates vary upon vehicle size and entry time. Parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

The West Building parking lot can be accessed a number of ways - via Exhibit Drive (north entrance), via Convention Way (south entrance) and via West Entrance Drive off Westwood Boulevard.

 

Overnight parking is not allowed at the Orange County Convention Center.

 

The Orange County Convention Center accepts cash, traveler's checks, American Express, MasterCard and Visa.

  • $20 parking fee will apply to passenger vehicles, per entry.
  • $30 parking fee will apply to oversize vehicles, per entry.

Note: Convention Center parking rates are subject to change at any time. Commodity Classic does not guarantee current rates. Parking is not included in the Commodity Classic registration fee.

 

Tours:

Commodity Classic has arranged for several tours of unique destinations in the Orlando area. Be sure to check out these optional tours as you plan your schedule. Tours are an additional fee and are not included with Commodity Classic registration fees.

 

Theme Park Tickets:

Come early or stay longer! Commodity Classic has arranged for exclusive pricing for Orlando’s top theme park destinations: Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Orlando Resort and SeaWorld Orlando. These opportunities include special afternoon and evening tickets not available from the box offices. These convention attendee tickets allow you to take advantage of the Commodity Classic events, while adding some fun, family time to your agenda. You can purchase discounted theme park tickets in advance and learn more here.

 

Please note that since Covid, most theme parks require reservations for visits, so it’s best to get your tickets early to try to ensure that you can visit the parks on your preferred days.

Weather:

Welcome to Orlando, where shorts and flip flops are always in season. With an average March temperature in the mid 70’s and over 300 days of sunshine, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the weather.

 

Commodity Classic Registration Desk:

The Registration Desk will be located in the Orange County Convention Center West Concourse Level 1, adjacent to B lobby. Stop by the Commodity Classic registration area starting Wednesday, March 8, to pick up your badge and event program. If you have questions, the registration staff will be happy to assist.

 

Kids Corner:

This special place is designed for the youngest Commodity Classic attendees. Kids Corner is a parent and child resting area with activities and entertainment for children ages 2-7. Kids Corner is available Thursday-Saturday during show hours and is located inside the Trade Show. An adult must accompany a child at all times.

 

Childcare Service:

Please check with your hotel for local companies that provide in-room childcare services.
