Commodity Classic is working hard to ensure a fantastic show for attendees while also adhering to required COVID-19 guidelines. Information on this page will be updated regularly to reflect the ever-changing nature of the situation, but we encourage you to visit the websites below for additional details.

 

Commodity Classic will follow all state, local and venue guidelines related to COVID-19.

Current City of New Orleans Guidelines:

 

Effective March 3, 2022, the City of New Orleans has lifted its indoor mask mandate.

 

Effective February 1, attendees ages 5 and up must have proof of EITHER:

 

  • Negative COVID test: Official lab report or results screenshot/email of a negative PCR/molecular or antigen COVID test (within 72 hours). "At-home" COVID-19 tests will not be accepted.
  • Proof of full vaccination: Two doses of a two-dose vaccine series that has received Emergency Use Authorization by the FDA or WHO (e.g. Pfizer, Moderna, or AstraZeneca), or one dose of a one-dose vaccine series (J&J).
     

Verification Process

In order to comply with New Orleans guidelines, all attendees must be verified to enter the show. To help facilitate this process, Commodity Classic is partnering with SafeAccess (https://www.safeaccess360.com), to ensure proper compliance.

 

Please take 2-3 minutes to complete the verification process to expedite your event entry and avoid waiting in long lines.  

 

To complete the verification process:

  • Registered attendees will receive an email from SafeAccess with a unique link to set up their secure portal.
  • Click the link in your SafeAccess email to accept the invitation to verify. We recommend adding no-reply@live.safeaccess.app and reminders@safeaccess.app to your approved senders email list.
  • Review current health and safety guidelines
  • Depending on your status, you can securely upload your vaccination record or make an appointment to get tested while in New Orleans.
    • You are not obligated to upload your vaccination card but are required to bring your card for verification at the event. Commodity Classic attendees who upload required documents prior to arrival to Commodity Classic will be able to expedite the registration check-in process.

Your documents will be stored in SafeAccess’ HIPPA-compliant database and is only accessible by SafeAccess Trusted Reviewers. Commodity Classic staff and partners do not have access any attendee’s private health information and is only reviewed by SafeAccess Trusted Reviewers. 

Once reviewed - typically within 2 business days - you will receive an email indicating approval or requesting additional information. If you have any questions, or need assistance, you can reach them via email support@safeaccess.app.

 

 

Onsite Safety Measures

  • The convention center and AV staff will be cleaning all meeting rooms between sessions, including chairs, tables, podium and microphones.
  • Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the convention center.
  • A limited number of masks will be provided if you do not have one.
     

How do the City of New Orleans guidelines apply to Commodity Classic attendees?

  • Masks are not required at Commodity Classic indoor venues, such as the Convention Hall, trade show floor, hotel ballrooms and meeting rooms. They also are not required on the hotel shuttle buses. Masks ARE required for everyone ages 2 and up on public transportation, including airplanes, ships, ferries, trains, buses, taxis, rideshares and the corresponding transportation hubs in New Orleans.

  • Commodity Classic attendees will be required to show proof of being fully vaccinated (as defined above) or an offical lab report or results of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours to participate in Commodity Classic and affiliate events.
     

    NOTE: You will need to bring a physical copy of your verification documents to New Orleans. Some places will not accept a photo of the document.

  • Commodity Classic attendees will need to present their vaccination card or negative Covid-19 test to enter city of New Orleans establishments including all restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues.
  • Commodity Classic’s Testing partner is offering rapid COVID-19 tests on-site at the Convention Center for $50.00 each. Testing times can be reserved and prepaid for using the unique link sent to registered attendees and will come from SafeAccess.

 

On-Site Rapid Testing at Commodity Classic (near Commodity Classic Registration)

Commodity Classic will offer onsite COVID-19 testing at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. 

Testing will be available to attendees as a convenience. Commodity Classic’s partner is offering tests for $50.00 each and can be reserved and paid for using their website. The results will be available in approximately 30 minutes and will enable you enter New Orleans establishments including Commodity Classic events.  

 

We recommend you test 24 hours prior to your current negative test expiring.

·    Tuesday, March 8:             10:00 am - 2:00 pm

·    Wednesday, March 9:       9:00 am - 7:00 pm

·    Thursday, March 10:         7:00 am - 4:00 pm

·    Friday, March 11:              10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Exhibitor Setup

Exhibitors setting up in the trade show prior to Thursday, March 10, do not need to show proof of vaccination or negative test since the hall is not open to attendees and there is no F&B in the hall. However, you will still need this information to gain access to New Orleans restaurants, bars, etc.

 

 

International Attendees

International attendees should always check current travel restrictions to the U.S. on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website before planning your travel to make sure you will be able to enter the U.S.

 

Commodity Classic's testing partner will offer PRC tests for international attendees who require it for travel. Please reserve a test via the SafeAcees portal or on-site.
